Magglio Ordonez Out For Remainder Of Postseason

October 9th, 2011

I thought the Detroit Tigers’ lineup didn’t have much depth without Delmon Young, who is out with an oblique injury, now their lineup is going to be even in more trouble without Magglio Ordonez.

The Tigers announced today that Ordonez will be out for the remainder of the ALCS with a right ankle injury. It’s the same ankle he had surgery on last year.

With now Ordonez and Young on the shelf, the Tigers are going to need guys like Victor Martinez, Alex Avila, and Austin Jackson to step up. They haven’t done much this postseason.

Look for Don Kelly to replace Ordonez in the Tigers’ lineup.
