You would think that the way this posting process has dragged out, Major League teams were bidding on LeBron James. I am pretty sure I have seen a “A source told me X team will win the Darvish posting” on Twitter about 50 times on Twitter over the past 48 hours much like we saw all the nonsensical rumors surrounding James.

Well, rumors will turn into facts tonight because the Nippon Ham Fighters will announce which team won the Yu Darvish sweepstakes tonight. No time has been set and the Texas Rangers or Toronto Blue Jays are the favorites to land the Japanese right-handed pitcher.

We’ll post the winner as soon as it is announced unless it’s at 4:00 in the morning. That just wouldn’t be right.
