Aroldis Chapman Arrested In Ohio
May 22nd, 2012
Perhaps there was a reason why the Cincinnati Reds didn’t turn to LHP Aroldis Chapman in the ninth inning of last night’s game against the Atlanta Braves. According to WLTW, Chapman was arrested early Monday morning because he was caught going 93 mph in Grove City, OH. Not only was he going 93 mph, but he was also driving with a suspended license.
Chapman was cited for speeding and driving under suspension. He was released after posting bond. No word yet of how much that bond was.
This has been a pretty bad month for Chapman off the field. Two weeks ago, it was reported that the Cuban lefty was being sued for $18 million because he is being accused of conspiracy to detain and torture the plaintiff. Sounds like Game of Thrones to me.
